This authorises specific reproduction — of a specified work and a defined number of pages, for a set number of copies for internal use within a particular institution, organisation or company.

The rights are applied for in advance, with full details of the work from which the copies are to be made: title of the work (book or journal); title of the article (if a journal article); author(s) or editor(s) of the book or author(s) of the journal article; ISBN or ISSN of the book or journal; the number of pages to be copied and the number of copies to be made of those pages. Rights are granted at a set fee per copy per page. Application is made on an ‘application for a transactional licence for reprographic reproduction’ form, available on request from DALRO.
